Rameses II used war dogs, with spiked collars, that raced ahead of his armies. By turning the gentle Mastiff into a fearless and vicious fighter, the Romans were able to instill fear and terror into armies. They would w rap the massive canine in spike-covered armor and have it charge at full speed. Canines were used, not only for attack in this manner, but also to warn of an impending attack and to send messages (Aiello and Bacon 17-18). Elephants were used to terrorize and create mass destruction in enemy front lines. Though they were difficult to train and control, many believed that the destruction caused by elephants was worth the effort taken to train them. Animals were an important part of ancient warfare and their use has continued until today. Due to the invention and development of the engine, the use of horses in military and warfare has been phased out of practice. In poorer, less-developed nations, horses, as well as camels, continue to be used for transportation, and in modern times, there are certain circumstances where military forces will use mules or horses for transport. Law State Traffic Laws
Question: Discuss about a Report on Law for State Traffic Law? Answer: In the given scenario, Nabila, whom was a teacher travelling in the mini bus with school students. As the bus was severely hit by the high speeding car, the bus was turned upward down and people in the bus were not in the condition to move out of the same from the main door. When the help arrived, the rescue team had requested Nabila not to move out the bus by herself (as she was absolutely uninjured). In spite of this, Nabila had taken steps to move out the bus, from the rear door. While doing the same she fell from the bus and had hit her back, in a severe way. It is because of this reason, as she fell from the bus, nobody is entitled to actually compensate her for the injuries from the fall. As it was asked by the rescue team to not to move out from the bus, yet she did and therefore, for this particular reason the rescue team is not responsible for the injuries as she did not pay any heed to what was said by them. In this case it can be said that the court of law would give the case in favor of the rescue team as they had actually warned her not to move out of the bus. For this particular reason, the people along with Nabila were advised not to move out the bus. For this particular reason, it can be said that Nabila cannot file any case or suit against the rescue team. On the other hand, Olaf, on whom the passenger Harold was filing the case or a suit, drove the car because of which the accident took place. The major reason as to why he is to be considered as the main reason to be blamed for is because of the driving laws. The English driving laws obliges the driver to compensate for the injuries as experienced by a fellow passenger. The fine or penalty will be charged against him, and the driver will have to pay any compensation for the injuries of a fellow passenger. As per the driving laws, the driver will is entitled to compensate for the injuries if a person has been injured as well, being a fellow passenger in the car or the truck. The court of law allows the people to file a case or suit against the driver of the car to compensate the fellow passengers of the car or the truck. Apart from this, the major aspect, which is to be considered in this regard, is basically because of rules and regulation as determined by the driving laws. These driving laws have been stated by the relevant authorities in order to make sure that the driver is the one to be blamed for the rash driving all the time. Hence, it can be said that the fellow passengers can ask for claims from the person driving the car or the bus. Bibliography State Traffic Laws - FindLaw. 2016.State Traffic Laws - FindLaw. DOLPHINS AND PORPOISES Essays - Oceanic Dolphins, Porpoise, Dolphin
DOLPHINS AND PORPOISES Dolphins and porpoises are mammals. They breathe air and give birth to living young then they suckle. They belong to the order or group of mammals called cetaceans, which include whales. Dolphins have beaklike mouths. Porpoises have bunt mouths and are smaller than dolphins. But both dolphins and porpoises are toothed whales, and their close relatives include the killer, sperm and pilot whale. Cetaceans are mammals that returned to the sea. Hind legs disappeared and were replaced by a strongly muscled tail end and flat tail or fluke. The front legs have evolved into flippers. One primitive specie- the Bouto or the river dolphin of the Amazon and other southern American rivers- has finger bones that show clearly in their flippers. Most mammalian hair has also disappeared from the streamlined body of the cetacean. The nostrils for breathing air have gradually moved to the forehead and, in the dolphins and porpoises have become one blow whole, which leads right to the lungs instead of the mouth and throat. The river living dolphins such as the Bouto must come up for air every 30 seconds, but the ocean dolphins can stay in the water for a few minutes. When they surface, a great spout of moist, used air is comes out from the blow wholes. More air is taken in, and they dive again. A dolphin or porpoise baby is born in the water. The mother and another female dolphins, which acts as a "nurse", then rush into the surface for the baby's first breath of air. They introduce the baby to the deeper water and longer stays under the water the first few weeks. At first they return to the surface for the baby to suckle it's mothers milk. Usually only one baby is born at a time. It spends a full year feeding on milk and strays from its mother

The Gold Rush and itââ¬â¢s Impact on California The Gold Rush had a major impact on California economically, demographically, and socially. ââ¬Å"The boomâ⬠a term used in a time of quick growth and prosperity was the ideal definition for the gold rush. It certainly paved the way for California to be the most prosperous and diverse state in the union. The American dream had moved out west and was now redefined. Without the Gold Rush the history, as we know it today, would have been changed. In the early 1840s, California was a terrain that yet needed to be developed. At that moment the word that gold was in the hills of California spread like a disease. The opportunity of instant wealth gave men across the nation and even the world a reason to move to California. The clash of civilizations through different perspectives Essay
The clash of civilizations through different perspectives - Essay Example There is a great division between human beings globally due to the divergent cultures; notably, conflicts will be caused by the differences in cultures of people. In essence, the clash of civilization is the center of interest. In other words, the current differences and divisions on cultural background is the future battlefield (Webber, 2008). Imperatively, civilization refers to the cultural entities of ethnic groups, villages, religious groups, and nationalities. People are carried around the world at most with the principle of civilization. This situational phenomenon explains the advanced state of human society. This advanced state encompasses the far to which aspects like high levels of industry, science, government, as well as, culture have so far reached (Ridley, 2006). This paper will discuss the future of civilization under the relevant perspectives of system level analysis, state level analysis and individual level analysis in regards to politics. Conversely, civilization is the broader cultural identity and groupings of individual in the society; they vary, rise and fall, merge and divide, and end with time. It has to be restated that difference among civilization are basic and real. This is because people differentiate themselves based on culture, language, tradition, and religion (Surowiecki, 2004). People in the different culture perceive issues differently such as God, rights of others, equality, hierarchy, and freedom. These differences are real and the source of conflict in the future if not addressed. Discourse on the divergent cultural differences is essential in promoting peace and the future. The differences between cultures are the source of conflicts; however, conflict does not mean violence. Huntington (2007) asserts that globalization is reducing the world into a community of people through internet and information technology. This has

My Impressions of the Beach Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
My Impressions of the Beach - Essay Example Whenever I go to a beach, I sit there for hours just looking at the waves which rise and clash with the shores and silently move back again. It always makes me feel calm since I relate it with my anger. Like the rising waves, the anger surges high and thinking about the waves I try and subside it. The waves are such an inspiration. The splash of water hits my face and I feel so relaxed as if time has stopped and there is nothing else to do except just sitting on the sea-shore and watching the beauty of nature. The rays of the sun embrace me and as I move towards the water, the sand slips away from beneath my feet. The waves crash against my body and move back as I keep moving forward. The cool touch of the water is a stress-buster and relieves my mind of all the tensions. The fast blowing winds breeze against my face and leave a soothing effect. I love watching the sunset at the beach. The reddish-orange sun looks extremely beautiful and shimmers the endless stretch of water as it sets. Hundreds of people come to watch a sunset. A number of couples enjoy some quality time with each other right under natureââ¬â¢s cover. Photographers run around to compel the love-lorn to get clicked in the scenic beauty of the beachside. When I was a kid, I used to crave to go to my auntââ¬â¢s beach house during summers. Every weekend of June and July, we used to visit and stay at my auntââ¬â¢s beach house where I learnt how to swim. It was so much fun to keep moving with the waves while inside kids float. The moment it took me a little ahead, my elder cousin used to drag the float back along with me. The waves almost covered me and the salty taste of the water gave me a tangy feeling.
